Founded in 2016, Gestalt has sought to invigorate the a cappella community. The vocal unit made its debut in a show closing set at The Betsy’s A Cappella Festival in 2016. Last January, they started production on their first studio album, Beyond the Archetype, which has received 11 CARA nominations and is available on Spotify and iTunes! The sets curated for this year are heavily inspired by the gestalt theory that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Through arrangement strategies and deliberate staging, this concept is infused into every performance.
