fifth measure is a contemporary a cappella ensemble comprised of students from Houston High School in Germantown, TN. Under the direction of Dr. Billy Rayburn, the group performs a wide variety of music including a cappella pop, jazz, and contemporary music. From its inception over twenty years ago, the group has evolved from a twelve member jazz ensemble to a twelve member fully choreographed ensemble to its present state of the more than twenty members performing today. Members are chosen each spring on the basis of musicianship and school/community service.
